Protect your Trademark or Copyright from Importers
You’ve worked hard on your product and maybe even harder to obtain intellecutal property protection for it. The good news is that a couple of organizations can help you to prevent the importation of trademark or copyright infringing goods.
To help prevent the importation of goods that infringe upon your intellectual property rights, contact the U.S. Customs Service and they will record your trademarks or copyrights. If you find infringement is already in process, it is possible to obtain an exclusion or a cease and desist order from the U.S. International Trade Commission.
